There are only two original Onion family restaurants, and they’re both right here in Spokane. The first Onion opened in 1978 as a fun new family restaurant that made everything from scratch and used only the freshest local products. The hamburgers are made from 100% Angus Beef and the steak fries are made from Ranger Russett potatoes from Prosser, Washington.
One of the all-time favorites on their menu is the Big "O" Burger, made with a beef patty, melted cheddar, hickory smoked lean bacon, avocado, pickle, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. In addition to burgers, The Onion servers pizza, sandwiches, pasta, and much more. has a lot more to offer than just hamburgers like delicious pasta, chicken and pizza. Both area locations are open seven days a week starting at 11 a.m.
